VIRTUAL COORDINATION OF COURSES & CONFERENCES

Online or blended/hybrid courses and conferences are becoming more common, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! In fact, offering an online or hybrid course can be an opportunity to try out new platforms or didactic methods, as well as address/increase the accessibility of the classroom or of an annual conference. But it’s also a lot of work, and that can be stressful when we’re talking about teaching or having a conference in the middle of a global pandemic.

That’s what I’m here for.

As an online content coordinator for university-level courses I can:

  • take care of the student-instructor interface (e.g. Brightspace),

  • organise bookings via Teams and other platforms (such as a classroom in Gather.town),

  • moderate online interaction (very underrated!),

  • track attendance and classroom restrictions,

  • lecture (as needed/desired), and

  • most importantly, arrange suitable and scalable online content for students, either from existing material or complete content generation from scratch, all to suit the learning outcomes of the course.

In short, I help take a load off of the other course instructors and provide students with additional interaction.

As for online conference coordination, I take care of all the online “stuff“ - from large things like access guides, dress rehearsals, and scheduling, to the little (but important!) things like Zoom settings, last-minute registration, and automatic captions.

For these services, I charge an hourly rate that is dictated by the client’s needs and situation, as well as how much teaching and/or preparation work is to be expected. More details in consultation, references available upon request.
